Spanish New Year Refresher Prosecco Cocktail
Something a little bit different to help you welcome in the new year. This is a cocktail take on the Spanish tradition of eating a grape with each bell strike at midnight on new year’s eve, to lead you to year of prosperity. Worth a try!
Ingredients
12 seedless red grapes and 4 halved grapes
1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
2 ounces (3 large tablespoons) of vodka
2 ounces (3 large tablespoons) coconut water – unsweetened if possible
crushed ice
chilled Prosecco
Makes 1 cocktail
Method
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the 12 whole red grapes with the brown sugar, then add the vodka, coconut water and halved grapes. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and pour—don’t strain—into a tall glass over crushed ice, then top with the Prosecco.
