Prosecco and Amaretto are a real winning combination but for me, it’s the Maraschino cherry that I love here – any excuse to use them!
- 50ml of Amaretto
- 15ml (large dash) of lemon juice
- 15ml (large dash) of lime juice
- 1tsp sugar syrup (see below)
- Chilled Prosecco
- Cherries (Maraschino work well with this)
Pour the Amaretto, lemon juice, lime juice and sugar syrup into your serving glass. Top up with Prosecco and serve garnished with a Maraschino cherry.
Stir together a small cup of sugar with a cup of water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until all the sugar has dissolved. Allow this to cool at room temperature, and then your can store it in the fridge – it keeps for a while (couple of weeks or so).
