Prosecco tasting, winery tours, sales.
Ruggeri was set up in 1950 in Valdobbiadene, in Prosecco’s historic heartland. This family run business is perhaps best known for their Prosecco Superiore DOCG named Giustino B – it’s won the Gambero Rossi’s Tre Bicchiere award four years in a row, and because of its popularity, it’s hard to get hold of outside Italy.
Ruggeri produce up to one million bottles of Prosecco Superiore DOCG each year, for around 100 small vineyard owners. They also make a pink sparkling wine using Pinot grapes, and a Superiore di Cartizze from the Bisol family’s Cartizze plot. If you’re looking to sample some great local Proseccos, you can organise a tasting session or a tour of the winery any day of the week except Sunday. Staff speak English, French, German and Italian.
