Prosecco tasting, sales.
Since 1986, Foss Marai winery has played a leading role in the Italian Prosecco industry. Owned and run by the Biasiotto family, Foss Marai currently own and manage 35 hectares of vineyards, of which five are located in the DOCG zone. They make top quality Proseccos as well as some more unusual sparkling wines, such as the Foss Marai CAP03, made using the Cavazzani method, where semi-sparkling wine is left in contact with fermenting yeast for over eight months. As well as Prosecco, the Biasiottos produce a range of red, white, and pink sparkling wines, all of which can be sampled in their tasting shop on Guia Road, called the Bottega dello Spumante. This charming little venue plays host to lots of local events too, from food and wine tasting sessions to gigs, art exhibitions and performances. You’ll find it open from Monday to Saturday for wine tasting and sales. Staff speak English and French.
